National memoriam

National memoriam (Jatiya Smrity Shoudha) is one of the items of Bangladeshi’s pride and vanity. It is the memorial of the departed freedom fighter in1971’s liberation war. This stunning and spectacular monument was built to tribute for the national martyrs of the country. The National Memorial is placed at Nabinagar, Savar, a nearer district of Dhaka at about 35 km. away from Dhaka. One of the leading Architect of Bangladesh, Syed Moinul Hossain designed it with his poetic imagination and deliberation. The monument is composed of 7 isosceles triangular pyramid shaped configurations, with the central one being the tallest. The highest point of the monument is 150 feet. This is a versatile idea of the Architect which seems to change its configuration when viewed from different angles.
